The Garden is active and alive and enjoys daily visits all year long on foot, by bike or skate, with strollers and dogs. We have been the site of weddings and birthday parties. We have hosted small concerts, holiday celebrations with the lighting of the Garden and carol sing-a-long, and participated in National Cancer Survivor’s Day.

The Garden has also hosted various fundraisers over the years. Our annual fundraiser the Garden Golf Classic has always been a great time for us to get together with supporters and survivors at the Boonsboro Country Club to raise money and awareness for the Garden.

The proceeds from our Fundraisers and from the sale of bricks and other naming opportunities allow the Awareness Garden to uphold their mission.

THE GOLF CLASSIC

THANK YOU to all of the sponsors, golfers, and volunteers who helped to make our 2018 Golf Classic a success!

The Golf Classic is be a celebration of the Garden and its mission. Since 2003, the Garden space has been a sanctuary for individuals who have faced cancer, and those who have lost a loved one to it. In addition, the Garden has provided community education to reduce cancer in our lives, and, to date, has awarded over $90,950 to students whose lives have been affected by this disease or who wish to pursue careers related to it.
